Rallying Clippers Get 7-6 Win
|
Durham left fielder Sal Santana was sensational. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Columbus beat the Bulls, 7-6. Columbus reliever Alejandro Reyes picked up the win, upping his record to 7-3. Gary Barnard absorbed the loss. The Bulls have now dropped 5 straight.
The Clippers beat the Bulls in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Ryan Forsberg produced in the bottom of the eighth. Batting against Gary Barnard, Forsberg gave his team the lead, 7-6, when he hit a run-scoring single.
"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Durham manager ArnĂ¡o Dique.
