NBT Bank Stadium was the site for International League action featuring the Syracuse Chiefs and Rochester Red Wings.
The Rochester Red Wings defeated the Syracuse Chiefs, 5-0, at NBT Bank Stadium. Marc Sakkal was a standout performer for Rochester. His 4 hits included 3 singles and 1 double, in addition to the 1 run he scored and 1 he knocked in. The winner in relief was Dan Carrington. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 4 innings. He now owns a record of 3-5.
Rochester relied on the hitting of Danny Jacob to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Red Wings on top, 3-0. For the game, Jacob had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
