Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Clippers
The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Columbus fans at Huntington Park.

Jay Pritchett had a strong outing for the Columbus Clippers against the Charlotte Knights at Huntington Park. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 1-0 win. Paul Cowles notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now sits at 4-1.

The Clippers got a clutch hit from left fielder Alex Grant. In the bottom of the ninth, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Clippers.

"This place was jumping at the end," Pritchett said.

At 39-30, the Clippers claim second place in the West Division.
