The Scranton WB RailRiders got their 2111 season off and running with a win over the Buffalo Bisons at PNC Field. The final score was 4-3. Scranton WB pitcher Matt Radl, in particular, had a fine performance. Kyle Bowers recorded his 1st save for Scranton WB.

In the bottom of the fourth, Hugo Vitagliano delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Scranton WB designated hitter hit a run-scoring single, putting the RailRiders in front, 4-3.

Vitagliano told reporters after the game: "Close wins always feel extra good."
