IronPigs Suffer 3-0 Setback
The bats were silent much of the day at NBT Bank Stadium. But 25-year old center fielder Håvard Nielsen produced just enough offense to carry the Chiefs past the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, 3-0. Nielsen went 2-3 with a double and a walk. John Stone collected save number 8. The win puts Syracuse at 39-32 this season.

Jesse English hit a run-scoring triple off Pete Lanning in the bottom of the third, which put the Chiefs in front, 1-0. English had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.

"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said English.
