Red Sox Topple RailRiders, 10-2, as Atkinson Shines
No one was more impactful than Tyler Atkinson in the 10-2 Pawtucket win over Scranton WB. Atkinson, who is tied for 9th in the IL in RBI with 38, went 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Pawtucket pitcher Billy Chiquete got the win, upping his record to 3-3. Daisuke Yoshioka got the loss. Terry Connors was credited with the save for Pawtucket, his 1st of the season.

Pawtucket used the hitting of Ricky Manrriquez to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Red Sox on top, 3-0. For the game, Manrriquez had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We can't expect to win," said Scranton WB manager Chris Carley, "with that kind of performance."

Pawtucket is now 33-38, Scranton WB 28-44.
