Getting offensive support from Luis Guzman, the El Paso Chihuahuas topped the Albuquerque Isotopes, 8-3. Guzman was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Chihuahuas. The win was credited to Mark Ayers in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Ernie Lowery took the loss. El Paso is now 4-0.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Chihuahuas grabbed the lead when Guzman hit his 2nd double of the season. The run-scoring double off Ernie Lowery made it 1-0, El Paso.
