Express Deal Storm Chasers 11-9 Loss
The Round Rock Express outlasted Scott Griffith and the Omaha Storm Chasers, 11-9, in 10 innings. Griffith was impressive in the loss. The Omaha center fielder slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Round Rock pitcher David Ruff earned the win, hiking his record to 2-0. David Sonnenberg suffered the loss. The Express, now 4-2, have been playing some good baseball.

Round Rock used a timely hit from Felipe Fernandez to get the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Express ahead, 9-8. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Express manager Yukio Tanaka.
