Storm Chasers Get Hard-Earned Win, Stop Express, 4-3
|
Omaha starter Tyler Pitzer pitched effectively against the Round Rock Express at Werner Park. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Picking up the save was George Bryan, his 1st. Omaha is off to a hot start at 7-1.
Edwin Gonzalez cracked a home run off Chris Carson in the bottom of the eighth. His 3-run blast put the Storm Chasers on top, 4-3. In all, Gonzalez had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
