The timely hitting of Bobby Hanley helped the Nashville Sounds down the Omaha Storm Chasers, 8-4. Hanley was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs for the Sounds. The winning pitcher was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Scott Delgado. He tossed 114 pitches over 7.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits. Brent Vaught picked up the save for Nashville, his 1st of the year.

The Storm Chasers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Sounds going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 29-year old second baseman Greg Molz came to the plate.
