The performance of Sean Jensen proved critical in helping Tacoma beat Albuquerque, 9-3. The Rainiers left fielder went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Rick Hutson got the win, improving to 2-0. He pitched 9 innings, giving up 10 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 8 and walking 1. With the win, Tacoma boosts its record to 3-6.

Jeff Gerdom had an important at-bat with two out in the bottom of the fourth, when he hit a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season put Tacoma on top, 6-2.

"I felt good up there," said Gerdom. "I saw the ball well."
