Chihuahuas Score Late to Nip Grizzlies, 7-6
|
El Paso catcher Sean Neidigh picked up 4 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Fresno Grizzlies, 7-6. The loss drops Fresno to 4-5.
The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With El Paso trailing 6-3, Neidigh jumped on a sinker from 31-year old left-handed pitcher Mike Miller and hit a grand slam home run to right. With one swing, the Chihuahuas had a walk-off win.
"It's great when the crowd is energized," Neidigh said.
