The Reno Aces topped the Albuquerque Isotopes, 3-1, in Pacific Conference action at Isotopes Park. The standout performance belonged to Reno pitcher and Chicago, Illinois, native Mike Gonzales. Gonzales, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2102 draft, went the distance for Reno. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits. The Aces, now 6-3, have been playing some good baseball.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Manny Lopez? The 26-year old third baseman Lopez stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put Reno up, 3-1. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.

"We're playing like we're capable of," said Reno manager Jose Heredia.
