Smith Lifts Rainiers to 9-5 Triumph
Cheney Stadium was the site for Pacific Conference action featuring the Albuquerque Isotopes and Tacoma Rainiers.

Charlie Smith put on a hitting clinic in helping Tacoma beat Albuquerque, 9-5. Smith had 1 single and 3 doubles for the Rainiers. He also scored 2 runs and knocked in 3. Jeremy Roys closed out the game, earning his 2nd save.

Smith had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a run-scoring double. The Rainiers went on to win.

"It's always extra special to win at home," said Smith.

The loss lowers the Albuquerque record to 5-4.
