The Las Vegas 51s withstood an impressive performance by Reno third baseman Kevin Cascadden to defeat the Aces, 9-8, at Aces Ballpark. Cascadden went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Las Vegas reliever Landon Clair picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. David Nickerson absorbed the loss. Las Vegas now has a record of 4-5.

Ricardo Duran came through with a big-time hit for Las Vegas. The right fielder smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 9-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"This game had a little bit of everything," said Duran.
