The Tacoma Rainiers scored a tight, 4-3 win versus the Salt Lake Bees at Cheney Stadium. Tacoma pitcher Tom Frye held his own in the contest. Salt Lake falls to 7-3.

Doug Armstrong was the walk-off hero for Tacoma. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rainiers center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It was bedlam at the end," Armstrong said.
