The Omaha Storm Chasers defeated the Memphis Redbirds by the score of 6-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman Brian Pyle. Pyle was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. Omaha center fielder Rob Wade contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a forkball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 14th hit of the season and put the Storm Chasers ahead, 4-0.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Wade told the Omaha Today. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
