The Omaha Storm Chasers picked up a win at Werner Park, knocking off the Memphis Redbirds, 3-0. On the mound for Omaha was right-hander Craig Abling, who played a pivotal role in the win. Sean Robbins sewed up the save, his 1st. The loss puts Memphis at 4-7.

Abling was in the zone all game. He frustrated Memphis hitters while giving the Storm Chasers 7 innings of quality work. Abling threw 105 pitches, allowing 2 hits and getting 11 punchouts.

Afterward, Storm Chasers manager Scott Davis was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
