Chihuahuas Roll to 9-3 Win Over Grizzlies
The El Paso Chihuahuas defeated the Fresno Grizzlies, 9-3, at Chukchansi Park. El Paso shortstop Greg Somers had a superb performance. He went 3 for 6 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. With the loss, Fresno drops to 6-6.

El Paso used the clutch hitting of Paul Higgins to capture the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Chihuahuas the lead, 5-3. For the game, Higgins had 1 single and 2 doubles in 5 at-bats.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Somers told a El Paso Citizen reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
