Storm Chasers Lose Versus Round Rock, 1-0
Round Rock starter Foppe de Heer put a stranglehold on the Omaha offense. The right-hander had complete command of his cutter in leading the Express to a 1-0 win. de Heer got the win, improving to 2-1. He gave up 5 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs. The win moves Round Rock to a record of 7-7.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Express had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when first baseman Brock Guertin hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Corey Pounds and made the score 1-0, Express. Guertin went 1 for 2 with 2 walks.

"Foppe made the big pitches when he needed to," said Round Rock manager Yukio Tanaka.
