Elza Gravito made an impact in the 5-2 Fresno win over Salt Lake. Gravito, who leads the PC in runs scored with 12, was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. Fresno reliever Greg Rowley snagged the win, upping his record to 2-0. Sam Marshall shouldered the loss. David Jones was credited with the save for Fresno, his 1st of the season.
Fresno used a timely hit from Mario Alvarado to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Grizzlies ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"We did the things it takes to win a ballgame," said Fresno manager Seth Dugas.
The win puts Fresno at 8-6.
