Redbirds Rally to Win
Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Memphis Redbirds and Oklahoma City Dodgers.

Eric Mason was a vital contributor to the 9-4 Memphis victory over Oklahoma City. The Redbirds first baseman was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Reliever Nigel Amos picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Danny Hollingsworth took the loss.

Memphis relied on the bat of Fernando Contreras to get the win. The center fielder ripped a bases-clearing triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Redbirds ahead, 6-3. For the game, Contreras had 1 double and 1 triple in 4 at-bats.

The first-place Redbirds are now 82-58, the Dodgers 78-62.
