The Tacoma Rainiers defeated the Salt Lake Bees, 8-3, at Cheney Stadium. Tacoma left fielder Marco Guerrero had a superb performance. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Jesus Arias recorded his 3rd save for Tacoma. With the win, Tacoma improves its record to 7-8.

With Tacoma leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Guerrero came up to bat against Salt Lake pitcher Matt McDuffy. Guerrero hit a sinker to right-center for a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season put the Rainiers on top, 4-1.

"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Guerrero told the Tacoma Bulletin.
