Sandoval Helps Sounds Defeat Storm Chasers, 6-3
The Nashville Sounds beat the Omaha Storm Chasers, 6-3, at Werner Park. Miguel Sandoval starred for Nashville. He was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The win went to Jeff Dufford in relief, making him now 4-1. Sheldon Jefferson took the loss for Omaha. With the win, Nashville goes to 77-60, while the Storm Chasers fall to 74-63.

With Nashville leading 2-1 in the top of the ninth, Sandoval hit a fastball from Matt Woods for a grand slam home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Sounds ahead, 6-1.

"We didn't get the results that we wanted," said Omaha skipper Willie Elizondo.
