The Colorado Springs Sky Sox defeated the Round Rock Express, 4-1, in American Conference action at Dell Diamond. Colorado Springs pitcher Mike Baxter had a standout performance. Baxter went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 1-1. The loss drops the Express to 9-8.

Colorado Springs used the timely hitting of Roberto Lima to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Sky Sox on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Lima said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
