The Reno Aces defeated the Las Vegas 51s, 13-11, in 10 innings. Doing his part was designated hitter Carlos Aguirre, who belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 6. Tyler Taylor snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-2 on the season. Alberto Chavez suffered the loss. The 51s, now 5-12, continue their slow start.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Reno. That's when Julian Rodriquez hit a grand slam home run off 25-year old left-handed pitcher Alberto Chavez to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"It was bedlam at the end," Rodriquez said.
