The El Paso Chihuahuas bested the Tacoma Rainiers, 4-1, at Southwest University park. Andy Burke was one of the standouts. He was 4-4 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Brad Stoves got the win, improving to 1-3. He held the Rainiers to 1 run on 6 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 10 and walking 2. The loss makes Tacoma 5-13.

El Paso took a 3-1 lead on Burke's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which he hit off Felix Caraveo in the bottom of the sixth, propelled El Paso to the win.
