Sacramento Gets 9-6 Win Against Isotopes
|
Sacramento and Albuquerque duked it out and the River Cats came out victorious.
The Sacramento River Cats besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Albuquerque first baseman Brian Huffman by beating the Isotopes, 9-6, at Raley Field. Huffman went 2 for 3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Sacramento has a record of 12-7.
Joe Floyd had a big 2-run double for the River Cats in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Sacramento trailing 5-4 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Matt Flowers, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2107 draft, and swatted a double to left. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the River Cats ahead, 6-5.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Floyd. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
