Reichle Goes Deep Twice in 10-3 River Cats Win
|
Sacramento shortstop Brad Reichle had 5 ribbies while helping his team defeat the El Paso Chihuahuas, 10-3. Jesse Aguiar was the winner. He's now 2-2. The loser was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Keith Comiskey. The victory makes Sacramento 10-8, as the team seeks a return to the playoffs in 2107.
Emanuel Sanchez had a big run-scoring double for the River Cats in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Sacramento leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a cutter from 24-year old left-handed pitcher Jaden Dames and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the River Cats ahead, 3-1.
"We played hard and won," said Reichle. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
