Grizzlies Suffer 9-2 Road Loss
|
El Paso pitcher Ross Pepper did his part in helping his team beat the Fresno Grizzlies, 9-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Pepper got the win, improving to 2-3. He gave up 2 hits and walked 2 over 5 innings. He allowed no runs. With the win, El Paso climbs to 7-12.
Ricky Guevara took Fresno hurler Angel Morales deep in the bottom of the second. His 2-run home run put the Chihuahuas on top, 3-2. In all, Guevara had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said El Paso skipper Matt Pace.
