Cubs Pick Up 10-5 Win Against Nashville
Not everyone stuck through the 32-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.

The Iowa Cubs defeated the Nashville Sounds, 10-5, at Principal Park. Chris Howard was one of the standouts for Iowa. His 4 hits included 3 singles and 1 triple -- this in addition to the 2 runs he scored and 2 he knocked in. Chad Lewis, the winning pitcher, improved to 1-2. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 9 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 2.

Travis Pass had a big bases-clearing double for the Cubs in the bottom of the third inning. With Iowa leading 4-1 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Scott Delgado and swatted a double to center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cubs ahead, 7-1.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Pass told reporters after the game.

The win leaves Iowa with a record of 8-12.
