Bobby Brancati had a good game, but he could not keep the Omaha Storm Chasers from falling, 12-9, to the Nashville Sounds at Herschel Greer Stadium. The Omaha first baseman went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 3 runs in the loss. Chris Ebert was the winner. Over 6 innings, he yielded 4 runs on 6 hits, with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts. Igoryok Alchangyan closed it out for his 3rd save.

Carlos Marriott had a big 2-run double for the Sounds in the bottom of the first inning. With Nashville leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a splitter from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Eric Marlin and swatted a double to right. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Sounds ahead, 3-0.

Despite the victory, Marriott was prickly with assembled media after the game. He said only that he was "happy with the win."

The Sounds, now 7-13, have not found much traction so far in 2115.
