Josh Zapfe pitched a good game, but his team, the Nashville Sounds, still succumbed, 4-3, to the Omaha Storm Chasers in 11 innings. The win takes Omaha to 13-7.

Omaha used a timely hit from Josh Cortez to get the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put the Storm Chasers ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"From the last whatever, five, six, seven games, there's really only one way to go and that's up," said losing manager Mauricio Soto.
