The El Paso Chihuahuas beat the Fresno Grizzlies in a game featuring much hitting but not much pitching. The final score was 11-9, Chihuahuas. One of the hitting stars was second baseman Ricky Guevara. Guevara went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The win leaves El Paso with a record of 8-12.

Ricardo Mendoza had a big 2-run double for the Chihuahuas in the bottom of the second inning. With El Paso trailing 7-6 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from 34-year old right-handed pitcher Mike Oestreich and swatted a double to left. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Chihuahuas ahead, 8-7.

"This game had a little bit of everything," said Mendoza.
