The Grizzlies earned a hard-fought, 4-3 win in 10 innings at Aces Ballpark. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Reno pitcher Chad Taylor. Taylor went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Reno is 9-12 after the loss.

Fresno used a timely hit from Jeff Stelma to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Grizzlies ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Mike Gibson.
