The Salt Lake Bees beat the El Paso Chihuahuas in a game featuring much hitting but not much pitching. The final score was 10-9, Bees. One of the hitting stars was center fielder Frank Vargas. Vargas, who is tied for 9th in the PC in hits with 26, was 4-6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. The win belonged to David Ferber in relief.
