The Reno Aces had to overcome a big game from Fresno left fielder Fidel Hernandez to leave Aces Ballpark with a victory. And they did, winning, 7-6, in 10 innings. Hernandez went 3-4 with 3 doubles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs. The winner was Reno reliever Hector Casares, now 1-0. The loser was Cao-Ky Tran-Thanh. The win moves Reno to a record of 9-13.

The decisive blow was delivered by Mike Cook in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 23-year old left-handed pitcher Cao-Ky Tran-Thanh to win the game for Reno. The home crowd went nuts.

"Exhilarating win," said Cook.
