River Cats Win in 13
The Tacoma Rainiers got a whale of a performance from pitcher Aaron Craig, but the Sacramento River Cats still prevailed, 7-6, in 13 innings. Craig came in in relief and pitched to 18 batters. Sacramento reliever Ivan Sandoval snagged the win, upping his record to 1-1. Brent Fyffe shouldered the loss. With their winning streak at 4, the River Cats have raced to a strong start this season.

Sacramento used the timely hitting of Jose Duran to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 13th inning to put the River Cats on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"It was a test of wills," said Elwiin de Lange, the Sacramento skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
