The Sacramento River Cats earned a close win over the Tacoma Rainiers, thanks in part to Rod Strader. The Sacramento right-hander, who leads the PC in complete games with 1, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. The Rainiers, 8-15, continue their sluggish start to the 2111 campaign.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Ryan McClure? The 26-year old second baseman McClure stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put Sacramento up, 3-2. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.

Sacramento manager Elwiin de Lange commended his team for "bagging a nice win."
