Grizzlies Absorb 4-2 Home Loss
|
The Reno Aces knocked off the Fresno Grizzlies, 4-2, in Pacific Conference action at Chukchansi Park. Reno pitcher and Tucson, Arizona, native Alex Sanchez had an outstanding performance. Sanchez got the win, improving to 1-4. He gave up 8 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The Aces, with just their 6th win in 24 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.
Reno used a well-timed hit by Abraham Bucio to capture the win. The left fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Aces ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"I thought we played a nice game," Bucio told the Reno Daily. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
