Thanks in large part to designated hitter Carlos Aguirre, the Reno Aces beat the Fresno Grizzlies, 6-3. Aguirre was 3 for 3 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Reno has a record of 10-14.

Reno left fielder Matt Mountain contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to right-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 12th hit of the season and put the Aces ahead, 6-2.

Reno manager Jose Heredia was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
