Chihuahuas Pull Out Late-Game Win, 5-4
The El Paso Chihuahuas faced a tough opponent in Las Vegas pitcher Matt Lemke, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Cashman Field by a final score of 5-4. Lemke went 7 innings and allowed 4 runs. El Paso reliever Mark Carnathan picked up the win, raising his record to 1-2. Erik Rice was tagged with the loss. The win gives El Paso a record of 13-12.

Miguel Mondragon drew 2 walks in 5 plate appearances for El Paso. The 26-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the ninth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Erik Rice. It was his 11th walk of the season.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Las Vegas manager Jeff Elgin.
