The Columbus Clippers powered past the Indianapolis Indians, 9-7, at Huntington Park. Josh Rautmann provided some of the pop. He went 3 for 5 with a triple and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs. The loss has the Indians at 2-1.

The Clippers got an important contribution from center fielder Phil Sproston, who in the bottom of the fifth hit a forkball to right-center for a 2-run triple. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Clippers ahead, 7-4.
