Sounds Win with Late Heroics
The Sounds earned a hard-fought, 3-2 win in 10 innings at Herschel Greer Stadium. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Memphis pitcher Seth Jackson. Jackson went 8 innings and allowed no runs. Nashville reliever Clayton Brookshaw picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. Tsuneo Tanada was saddled with the loss. Nashville is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 9th in 27 games.

The Sounds got a clutch hit from center fielder Jordan Phifer. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Sounds.

"That's baseball," said Memphis manager Justin Tullar. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
