The Iowa Cubs defeated the Omaha Storm Chasers, 6-5, in part because of catcher Brendan Quillen. Quillen went 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Cubs. At 17-10, the Cubs have played well so far.

The Cubs got a clutch hit from second baseman Ed Medina. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Cubs.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Quillen.
