The Tacoma Rainiers defeated the El Paso Chihuahuas, 6-5, at Cheney Stadium. Matt Augustin was a standout performer for Tacoma. His 3 hits included 2 singles and 1 double -- this in addition to the 1 run he scored and 1 he knocked in. Jose Jasso finished the game for Tacoma and earned his 3rd save. The win takes Tacoma to 10-18.

Kyle Brent had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the fifth for Tacoma. With the bases loaded and the Rainiers leading 5-4, he hit a sacrifice fly.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Tacoma manager Wayne Blanchard.
