Express Claim 3-0 Triumph
|
Cody Dunn was on the winning side of a pitcher's duel at Werner Park. In fact, the Round Rock Express left-hander was instrumental in his team's 3-0 victory over the Omaha Storm Chasers. Dunn picked up the win for Round Rock, going 6.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1. Picking up the save was 31-year old right-handed pitcher Darius Shaheed.
Tim Calabrese, who is tied for 7th in the AC in runs scored with 14, had a direct impact on the outcome. Calabrese contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Round Rock up, 1-0.
"We didn't score," said losing manager Lorenzo Villatoro. "That was the problem."
With the loss, Omaha is 18-10.
