The El Paso Chihuahuas had to overcome a fine effort from Albuquerque pitcher Mike Bartley to grab a narrow 2-0 win at Isotopes Park. Bartley went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Brian Clute closed the door for El Paso, picking up his 3rd save of the year. El Paso has a 3-game win streak, while Albuquerque has lost 3 in a row.

It could have been a different outcome for El Paso, had it not been for Francisco Madrigal, the 29-year old catcher . Madrigal contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put El Paso up, 2-0.

"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Madrigal.
