Rainiers Beat Aces, 4-2, at Cheney Stadium
|
The Tacoma Rainiers got a strong performance from pitcher Paul Causey, who stymied the Reno offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Cheney Stadium. Jesus Arias claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record stands at 2-2. The loss makes Reno 14-16.
Tacoma took a 4-2 lead on Marco Guerrero's 5th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Guerrero hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Reno pitcher Will Cascalho visibly frustrated.
"Paul was really on it," said Tacoma manager Wayne Blanchard. "He's got a feel for playing with the hitter front-to-back, side-to-side."
