Las Vegas 51s starter Mike Sloan turned in a top-notch performance against the Oklahoma City Dodgers at Cashman Field. The result was a win for the 51s, 5-1. The triumph makes Las Vegas 9-22.

Johnny Zamora had a big run-scoring double for the 51s in the bottom of the second inning. With Las Vegas leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Mike DiPalermo, who is tied for 3rd in the AC in strikeouts with 45, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the 51s ahead, 2-0.

Las Vegas manager Jeff Elgin commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
