Colorado Springs Rocks Nashville, 13-2
|
The Colorado Springs Sky Sox pasted the Nashville Sounds with a convincing 13-2 defeat at Security Service Field. Jose Falcon was a prime factor in the Colorado Springs win. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. The third-place Sky Sox sport a record of 15-16.
Falcon had a key at-bat for Colorado Springs in the bottom of the second. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and gave Colorado Springs an early 5-1 lead.
Nashville manager Mauricio Soto called the pummeling "nothing to write home about."
