Storm Chasers Land Close Win
|
The Omaha Storm Chasers beat the New Orleans Zephyrs, 3-2, in 10 innings. Omaha pitcher and Oak Ridge, Tennessee, native Joe Gravatt led the way. The first-place Storm Chasers have won 4 straight games.
The Storm Chasers got a clutch hit from shortstop Manny Hernandez. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to left-center, to win the game for the Storm Chasers.
"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Gravatt said.
