Storm Chasers Win at Home, 3-2
|
The Omaha Storm Chasers wanted a good start from David Quinones -- and he delivered one. The result was a 3-2 Omaha win over the New Orleans Zephyrs at Werner Park. Quinones, now 3-2, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 6, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. Chris Hardy closed out the game, earning his 1st save.
Jonathan Rojas drove in one run for Omaha. The 31-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Tyler Stegman. It was his 1st RBI of the season.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Quinones said.
Omaha has won 5 straight games.
