Las Vegas center fielder Jonathan Battle had a good game, even if his team did not. The 51s dropped a 6-4 decision to El Paso at Cashman Field. Battle was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2. Mel Parra closed the game out for El Paso, earning his 2nd save. The Chihuahuas move to 15-17 with the win, while the 51s drop to 15-17.

El Paso used the clutch hitting of Enrique Escobar to capture the win. The second baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Chihuahuas the lead, 5-3. For the game, Escobar had 2 singles and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
