Oklahoma City Downs Nashville as Roman Tosses 8-0 Shutout
|
It wasn't easy but Jordan Roman made it look that way.
Roman silenced the Nashville Sounds, 8-0, in a Oklahoma City Dodgers triumph at Herschel Greer Stadium. Despite the appearance of dominance, Roman said that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 2 walks and 4 hits.
"It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else."
This year, Roman has collected no saves in no relief appearances. He has also compiled a 3-0 won-lost mark with a 4.15 ERA and fanned 53 batters in 43.1 innings. Opponents are hitting him at a .228 clip in 2108.
