The Round Rock Express turned back the Salt Lake Bees, 5-4, at Dell Diamond. John Fuller, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The first-place Express now have a win-loss record of 20-14.

Had Sal Sandoval not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Sandoval hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Express.

"It was a solid team effort," said Sandoval after the game.
