Chihuahuas Lose 5-4 Decision to Nashville
|
The Nashville Sounds beat the El Paso Chihuahuas, 5-4, at Herschel Greer Stadium. Nashville designated hitter Bobby Hanley banged out 1 single and 1 double, while driving in 3 runs. Dustin McClellan was credited with the save for Nashville, his 5th of the season. Nashville is now 10-27, El Paso 18-19.
Hanley contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Nashville in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 4-3, Hanley took a fastball from Frank Scola and stroked the double to right-center. His 6th double of the season allowed the Sounds to leap in front, 5-4.
"We've got great fans," said Hanley. "I hope they got what they came for."
